Episode 08

Featured artist Waterdeep, music from Lightheaded, Aaron Ivey, Tyler James, The Autumn Film and more. Welcome to The Habañero Hour Episode 08.
Basically, this whole podcast thing started with two guys who love Jesus and love music but don’t love most “Christian” music. We were convinced that, not only were there others who felt the same way, there were artists out there who were expressing their faith in bodies of work never played on “Christian” radio or sold in “Christian” stores. We were right. The Habañero Hour exists to explore, excavate, broaden, and challenge the idea of what is or is not “Christian” music. We do this by exposing you to some of the music that we’ve discovered and we try to include perspectives from some of the actual artists we play. Most of the music we play is made by Christians but some of it is not and that is intentional. We want to rekindle the lost art of discernment. Please join us on this journey.
Here is the setlist. Enjoy and please offer feedback to help us get better at this.
