Episode 07
Feb 11th, 2010 by admin

Featured artist is Trevor Davis from Tacoma and features music from John Mark McMillian, Thrice, Brooks Ritter and others. Enjoy.
See, we love Jesus, we love Christians, we love music, we just don’t love most “Christian” music. Most of what you can buy at “Christian” retailers has nothing to do with content but everything to do with marketing. Must “Christian” music is a vapid, propaganda-driven, shallow reproduction of what the rest of the world had to offer about six months ago.
But there is hope. There are plenty of artists expressing their faith under the radar. That’s the point of this podcast. Through music and interviews with featured artists, we hope to expand your musical horizons and introduce you to some of our favorite artists, all the while, challenging the very notion of “Christian Music.”
Here is the tracklist:
- “Beautiful Morning” by Aaron Spiro
- “Holiday” by Future of Forestry
- “Symptoms of Trend” by Dr. Seahorse
- “Warrior” by Sojourn
- “Hallelujah, Our God Reigns” by Matt Papa
- “Hills Humbled, Mountains Made Low” by So Long Forgotten
- “Bones From The Ground” by Brooks Ritter
- “Throw Myself” by Dreampilots
- “Back to Sleep” by Trevor Davis
- “Skeleton Bones” by John Mark McMillan
- “All The World is Mad” by Thrice
- “Mr. Mister” by Trevor Davis
Please help spread the word.

Hey – thanks so much for these great songs! I love the exposure to great artists and fresh sounds.
Keep on keeping on!
Hey guys! I really enjoy your broadcasts and I am really excited to see you guys picked up on Thrice’s new music from “Beggars”. They have a long history of providing thoughtful music about the faith. I would like you guys, if possible, to interview Dustin Kensrue (lead singer) at some point on your show because he is a truly interesting and intelligent interview. Keep up the great broadcasts!
If you know the people over at the new Ransom website (http://ransomtv.typepad.com/ransom/2009/12/dustin-kensrue-this-is-war.html) or can get in contact with them then they could probably point you towards how to get a hold of, at least, Dustin Kensrue. If you are intrigued by All The World Is Mad then you need to check out all of their stuff because they have some of the greatest (and faith-based) lyrics of any band out there.
